Our Driver
Improvement Program is certified by the Virginia Department of
Motor Vehicles and AAA for instruction of the Driver Improvement
Program for
those individuals that hold standard or commercial (CDL) licenses
including Class A, B, & C. Additionally, our courses are approved
by each court system for whose geographic areas we service.
Our unique
and one-of-a-kind Driver Improvement Class has been specifically
designed by traffic safety instructors with over 25 years of combined

Nationwide, a vehicle crash occurs every five seconds. Roughly,
more than 147,737 vehicle crashes occurred on Virginia's highways
last year. The odds are one out of four that you will be involved
in a crash during your lifetime.
To reduce
these odds, the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles created
a different kind of crash course. A Driver Improvement Program
that rewards safe drivers and helps educate drivers who have developed
risky driving practices. When you enroll in our driver improvement
class, you will learn defensive driving techniques that can help
you avoid and prevent crashes. We offer this eight-hour classroom
session at clinic sites around the Southside and Central Virginia
vicinity to accommodate you.
COURT
or DMV DIRECTED
If you are under age 20, you must enroll in a clinic that provides
classroom instruction, an internet based course will not be accepted
by DMV. Many courts prohibit the use of internet based Driver
Improvement Programs for adults of any age.
If a court
or DMV requires you to attend a class, you must complete an approved
eight-hour program. If you fail to satisfactorily complete the
clinic within 90 days, DMV will suspend your driving privilege
until you meet this requirement. A court can convict and fine
you of the violation you have been charged with by failing to
complete the class within a specified time.
If you are
attending college outside of Virginia or you are a member of the
military or a military dependent and stationed outside of Virginia,
you may be eligible for an extension of the 90-day requirement.
The extension will be granted only if you are in an area where
no approved clinics are offered. The extension will last until
a break in your schedule.
VOLUNTEERS
/ SAFE DRIVING POINTS
If you take our class as a volunteer, regardless of age, you will
be awarded five safe driving points at the completion of the program.
If a court or DMV requires you to complete a clinic, they determine
if you will be awarded safe driving points. We do not recommend
taking this course to have a traffic violation reduced or dismissed
PRIOR to going to court, call for an individual consultation.
INSURANCE
DISCOUNTS
Insurance companies may offer premium discounts to policyholders
who complete a DMV-approved driver improvement clinic.
Check with
your agent to see if your insurance company offers this benefit.
If you take
a driver improvement clinic to reduce your insurance premium,
you will not be eligible to receive safe driving points. If a
court assigns you to complete a clinic, you will not be eligible
to receive the insurance premium reduction.
COMMERCIAL DRIVERS
If you hold a commercial driver's license (CDL) or committed an
offense while operating a commercial motor vehicle, and you are
required to attend a driver improvement clinic by a court or
DMV, you must satisfactorily complete a commercial driver
improvement clinic designed specifically for commercial drivers.
